Haudenosaunee Canoe Journey is an adventurous firsthand account of one Onondaga man, Hickory Edwards, who has devoted his life to the rediscovery of the path of the “Peace Maker.” Relying on knowledge from elders and intuition to guide his team in the right direction, Hickory Edwards hopes to navigate the full waterways and travelling routes long forgotten by his people.

The documentary follows that thirteen-day journey, exploring the ancient waterways of the five founding Nations of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy. It’ll also feature the evolving relationship between Hickory and his daughter, Ellie as he tries to teach her about her people, their ways and their culture.
